Description
Explore mushroom cap and stem shapes, woodland color mixtures, light and shadow, moss, curled leaves and fallen wood. This 40-page LUREXEN watercolor workbook combines focused studies with four guided projects and separate practice pages.
What you can practise
- Observe cap silhouettes, stem direction and ground contact
- Mix warm browns, cool neutrals and muted greens with your own pigments
- Use three values and softer or firmer edges to describe a mushroom form
- Practise moss clusters, curled leaves and directional bark marks
- Four projects: a single mushroom, a cluster in moss, mushrooms on fallen wood and an autumn forest floor
- Selected black outlines, open practice areas, an original-scene planner, reflection and a blank completion certificate
Who it is for
Adult beginners and returning watercolor painters who want a focused woodland subject and self-paced practice. Materials, experience and practice affect results.
Exactly what is included
Page totals include the cover, introductory material, references, exercises and any closing pages. They are not counts of separate lessons.
8 PDFs across 4 printing editions. Each complete edition contains the same 40-page workbook in two sequential parts: Part 1 contains pages 1–20; Part 2 contains pages 21–40. Choose one edition and use both of its parts.
- A4 standard: 2 PDFs, 40 total pages.
- US Letter standard: 2 PDFs, 40 total pages.
- A4 reduced-decoration: 2 PDFs, 40 total pages.
- US Letter reduced-decoration: 2 PDFs, 40 total pages.
Reduced-decoration editions simplify selected decorative pages while retaining color teaching references. They are not black-and-white editions. A4 retains the standard learning-route page to preserve safe layout. Alternative editions repeat the same 40 pages; they do not add unique lessons.
Portrait A4: 210 × 297 mm. US Letter: 8.5 × 11 inches. Raster page artwork exported at 150 DPI. The cover, introductory pages and final certificate are included in the total.
Printing and practice
- Select the PDF matching your paper size. Print at Actual Size / 100% and check a single page for your printer’s margins.
- Use paints suitable for the workbook’s medium, brushes, water and painting paper. For wet watercolor, separate watercolor paper around 300 gsm / 140 lb is a useful starting point.
- Keep the guide beside your painting or transfer an outline to suitable painting paper. Ordinary office paper is best used for reading and notes.
40 total pages, including front matter and the final certificate; not 40 separate lessons. Artwork and instructional content are AI-assisted educational references, not recorded hand-painted demonstrations. This is a painting workbook, not a mushroom identification, edibility or foraging guide. No physical print test or painting-course trial is claimed.
