Description
Study broad crystal shapes, neighboring light and dark faces, dry transparent layers and irregular agate bands. Three decorative projects combine illustrated painting sequences with separate space for your own practice.
What you can practise
- Simplify crystals and clusters before adding broad facets
- Separate light, middle and dark values
- Compare damp neighboring washes with dry, distinct edges
- Add transparent glazes after the first layer dries
- Three projects: violet crystal cluster, teal agate slice and a small faceted gem collection
- Palette tests, composition planning, reflection and a final completion certificate
Who it is for
Adults and older art learners who are comfortable trying basic watercolor washes and want focused self-paced practice. Materials, experience and time affect results.

Printing and practice
- Select the PDF matching your paper size. Print at Actual Size / 100% and check a single page for your printer’s margins.
- Use paints suitable for the workbook’s medium, brushes, water and painting paper. For wet watercolor, separate watercolor paper around 300 gsm / 140 lb is a useful starting point.
- Keep the guide beside your painting or transfer an outline to suitable painting paper. Ordinary office paper is best used for reading and notes.
The 32-page total includes the cover, welcome, learning route and final certificate; it is not a count of separate lessons. AI-assisted examples are illustrative teaching references, not recordings of physical painting demonstrations. No learning outcome or exact color match is guaranteed. Decorative art studies only, not mineral identification, crystal healing or jewelry-cutting guidance. No low-ink edition is included because the color and value relationships are part of the instruction.
